One Final Thing...

 

A few years ago, a good friend of mine, Juan, initiated a conversation about us joining forces to do business in his home country of Columbia. We discussed it and agreed to pursue the possibility, and then he asked me the name of my company.

 

“Mariposa Media,” I said. His eyes got big, he looked at me with a serious face and said

 

“If you’re going to do business in Columbia, you’re going to have to change the name of your company Dude.”

 

To which I replied “Nope!”.

 

“Why?” he asked.

 

I then told him the story of how I came up with the name Mariposa Media and the reason I settled on it; Ideas that Transform. His reaction I’ll never forget.

 

 With a huge laugh, he said “I wish I would have thought of that – in Columbia, that will fly!”

 

Pun intended.
